Nicki Minaj's fans were left disappointed on Charles LangstonMonday night after the "Barbie World" rapper canceled her New Orleans show hours before the concert was due to start.
"Due to doctor’s orders, Nicki Minaj must reschedule her NOLA show tonight," a statement on the Smoothie King Center's Instagram read on Monday. "As Nicki is still sick, our team does not want to run the risk of getting others sick, and Nicki would not be able to give NOLA the show they deserve."
The venue added: "We are working diligently to find a new date, so please hold onto your tickets, and we will inform you all soon."
The message to fans was posted roughly four hours before the event and when concertgoers would have been arriving. Minaj did not post updates to her social media platforms as of Monday night.
USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Minaj.
Fans flooded the comments after feeling slighted by the last-minute cancelation.
"She ain’t just get sick a few hours ago. This should’ve been announced this morning or yesterday. This is extremely last minute and I’m very frustrated," one person commented under the venue's Instagram post.
Another wrote: "and i bought a flight can she reimburse me? cause i could be at home working, not stuck hours and states away from home."
"I just drove all the way to New Orleans. Her health is important but I wish they said something earlier," one fan wrote.

Named after her recent album "Pink Friday 2," released in December, the tour marks her first since The Pinkprint Tour in North America in 2015 and 2016, and 2019's Nicki Wrld Tour with Juice Wrld in Europe.
The rapper received a recentGrammy nomination for her "Barbie" soundtrack contribution with Ice Spice. She shared how her son influenced "Pink Friday 2" during an episode of Vogue's "73 Questions" series.
"Some of the songs started off being written about four years ago, there were songs … I couldn't record sexually explicit songs while I was pregnant so I ended up just getting turned off for a very long time and I had writer's block for a while, even after I had the baby," she recalled.
